29 October 2011

Yesterday I ran for 23 minutes in the park. It was my fastest run yet. Still a lot of room to improve, but it was a full munite off my PRT time. I ran a green zone pace through most of the second blue zone, and finished ahead of schedule.

Then I went to the gym and did my first leg workout with the gymtechnik app. I hadnt done squats in a while since my last gym only had machines. Im paying for them now, and will be worse off tomorrow Im sure. Ill try to get a run in tomorrow and Tuesday, as well as some gym time, but after that Im just going to rest up and get ready for the PRT on Friday. That will count as both a run and a workout, so Ill get three in this week either way.

Im also planning ahead for my meals leading up to PRT day. More on that later.

26 October workout

I ran on the treadmill for 20 minutes at the Y, then did the chest/abs workout. Its getting tough to schedule workouts with school and everything else going on. It was a good workout, though. Weight is down to 226 (from 240).
